Who it is for
You have an idea that has been going round in your head for months. You do not know whether it holds up and you have neither the budget nor the team to find out. This programme is for founders at the hunch stage, before incubation.
What you will be able to do
State the problem you solve before talking about your solution. Interview ten users without feeding them the answers. Build a prototype in a few days with the means at hand. Test a hypothesis and accept that it falls. Put figures on a basic business model. Present your venture to a panel.
What you take away
A working prototype, a report on tests with at least ten users, a costed business model, and a file ready to present for incubation.
How it runs
| Week | Objective | Deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Frame the problem | Validated problem statement |
| 2 | Understand the users | Ten field interviews, synthesised |
| 3 | Generate and choose | Three concepts and a reasoned choice |
| 4 | Prototype | First prototype |
| 5 | Test and iterate | Test report and corrected version |
| 6 | Model and present | Business model and pitch to a panel |
What comes next
The strongest ventures move straight into the Startup Studio for incubation.
Frequently asked
