Terms of use

These terms govern access to and use of ubuntuuniversity.org. Browsing the site means accepting them. If something here seems unacceptable, do not use the site and write to us: we would rather discuss it than have you leave.

• reading about Ubuntu University, its four pillars and its seven programmes;
• applying to a programme or to the Startup Studio;
• requesting support for an organisation;
• subscribing to the newsletter and requesting our resources;
• reading Ubuntu Insights publications.

This site sells nothing and accepts no payment. No fees are published on it. The financial terms of a programme, including the Income Share Agreement, are discussed in interview and set out in a separate contract handed to the admitted candidate before any commitment.

Submitting an application creates no right to admission. Every file is assessed by a panel against the criteria of the programme concerned, and an answer is sent to you by email. An incomplete or clearly automated application is not assessed.

The information you declare is your responsibility. A false declaration discovered after admission may end the programme for you.

The durations, formats and educational content described on this site present our programmes as they are designed. They may change from one cohort to the next. Only the contractual documents handed over at admission are binding.

We work to keep these pages current. If an inaccuracy jumps out at you, tell us and we will correct it.

Access to the site is free. You undertake not to disrupt its operation, not to attempt to reach non-public areas, not to extract its content in bulk by automated means, and not to use the forms for purposes other than those they state.

Repeated submissions from one connection are limited automatically. That limit protects the service and has no other purpose.

The site is provided as is. We aim for continuous availability without being able to guarantee it: maintenance, a provider outage or a network incident may interrupt it. No compensation is due on that account.

Terms for reusing content are set out in our legal notice. The processing of your personal data is described in our privacy policy.

These terms are governed by Senegalese law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable solution; failing that, the competent courts of Dakar will hear the matter.
