What each figure counts.
Only three figures appear on this site, and each answers a definition we stand by.
- Learners trained
Anyone who has completed an Ubuntu University track, bootcamps and long programmes alike, across all our countries. Someone enrolled on two tracks is counted once.
- Ventures supported
Any venture that entered a Startup Studio support scheme and was followed through to a documented exit stage. A shortlisted application is not enough to enter this count.
- Countries
Countries where we have run training, incubation or advisory work, and where the Ubuntu REX network has at least one expert available.
What we do not publish counts as much. We show no employment rate while we cannot measure it across a full cohort and document it. We publish no financial projection and no country-by-country expansion timetable.
