Funding

Your training should not depend on what you can afford today.

Four routes exist to fund an Ubuntu University track. One of them, the Income Share Agreement, lets you enter without paying anything. No fees appear on this site: everything is said in interview, in writing, before you commit.

Income Share Agreement · Ubuntu Talent Track

Nothing on entry. You pay after you are hired.

The ISA moves the risk. It no longer sits with you, it sits with our ability to make you employable. If we fail, we are not paid.

  1. Step 01

    You enter without paying

Nothing on enrolment. No advance, no loan to take out, no guarantee to find among your family.

  2. Step 02

You train, then you are hired

You follow the Talent Track and land a paid job. Your contribution starts at that moment, not before.

  3. Step 03

    You contribute once in post

Over a limited period and with a cap, both written into the contract. Without a job, you owe nothing.

Four routes

There is more than one way to fund a track.

The Income Share Agreement

Reserved for the Ubuntu Talent Track. You enter without paying and contribute after being hired. The contract fixes the duration and the cap before your first day.

Employer funding

Your organisation covers all or part of the track. This is the most common route for Masterclass Executives and in-house programmes.

Self-funding

You fund your own track, in one payment or in instalments. Instalments are set against your situation, discussed at the admission interview.

Partner support

Some cohorts are backed by a funder or an institution. When that is the case, we say so in the call for applications for that cohort.

Common questions

What we are asked most.

How much does a programme cost?

No fees are published on this site. The cost depends on the programme, the format and the funding route. It is given to you in writing at the admission interview, before you commit to anything.

Is the ISA a loan?

No. You take on no debt and no interest accrues. Your contribution is tied to a paid job: without a job, you owe nothing.

What if I lose my job while contributing?

Payments pause for as long as you are out of work, and resume if you find a new post, within the period set in the contract.

When will I know the exact terms?

At the admission interview, then in writing in the contract handed to you. You have time to consider it before signing.
